membership-branding-awardWe are extremely proud and ecstatic to announce that one of our recent branding projects for The Institute of Biomedical Sciences has won a prestigious award. The IBMS’s new eStudent membership won the award for best brand extension at the MemCom 2014 Awards. The MemCom Awards recognises excellence in membership organisation communications and celebrates best practice across the membership sector.

Our design team were commissioned by the Institute of Biomedical Sciences to create and design two brands, one was for their online student membership called E Student and the second was a brand for their professional members called CPD (Continued Professional Development). As well as the branding our designers were asked to create leaflets, documentation and a post card for each brand. The client wanted both brands to look fresh, innovative and appeal to each unique target market.

eStudent is the first IBMS online-only membership which provides an online version of the profession’s journal; The Biomedical Scientist. It also offers biomedical science students a dedicated website which supports their progression from university to practicing as a registered biomedical scientist.

IBMS were incredibly impressed with the both of the brands and all the supporting marketing material that we produced. They were very happy with the creativity and the quick turnaround. The introduction of the eStudent membership in 2013 resulted in an increase of students joining the IBMS by over 60%. Due to demand from a number of Further Education colleges the IBMS plans to roll out eStudent membership to Further Education students in September 2014.

We were very happy with the quality of design The CLIP Group has produced. Their turnaround was quick and they were incredibly easy to work with. We were all impressed by their creativity and winning the award for the best brand extension and increasing our membership has been the icing on the cake.
